We all know that diets do not work. They might work for a while, but there is always an extreme factor to it that will leave you out of balance. Still there are enough desperate people. They will try anything to get into a better physical shape. But, there are other things that we need to think off before. We need to start considering is stress and other emotional issues usually in the way. Putting the body out of balance and causing the hormonal situation of the body to be in imbalance. So, to confirm what I am trying to get at and is my redline through all my blogs. You will not find your balance unless you look at this from a mind to body perspective. There is a need for a holistic way of finding your balance. You need to look at where you are emotionally and psychologically. This is just as important as thinking of what we eat. Otherwise you will never find your balance in life.
Here are 6 things to consider make the change to a more balanced life:
1. Stop Dieting
Try to focus on giving your body the best balance of nutrition. By feeding your body with the best nutrients possible. Try always to think of what will give the most nutrients possible. You can read more about that in my blogs on superfoods. Eat more foods that have fatty acids like omega-3 and good quality proteins. The body will lose its appetite for junk food with low nutrients. The body is smart and will focus on high quality nutrient dense foods.
2. Heal thy Digestion
Sometimes the main cause for craving nutrients is not what you thought. It could be because the digestive system is not processing right. Bad digestion can also cause inflammation. This can create hormones that put the body into fat storing mode.
Read my blog on superfoods such as fermented foods. It helps creating a better environment for the belly so to improve the digestive process. Increase the intake of probiotics and digestive enzymes to normalize your digestion.
3. Get Sleep.
Trouble with sleep and and bad sleep quality it can create a bad hormonal environment. Bad in the sense that it causes imbalance and causes cravings for junk food. One reason could be sleep apnea and having it diagnosed could make the difference. Read my blog on sleep as well to see if there are other means to help you sleep better.
4. Reduce Stress.
Stress can cause higher cortisol levels and hormones that can cause inflammation. These hormones cause constant cravings and set the body on a chronic fat storing mode. Stress is much more critical in your journey to get a healthier body. I have become more focused on meditating every morning to reduce my stress levels. It works. Here is a book that got me starting, simple yet effective.
5. Find your Emotional Balance
Sometimes there are emotional issues to deal with. Underneath they can create all the imbalance that I have talked about here. It might be important to take away that thing in the past that is keeping you from moving forward. Staying fat can sometimes be comforting. Find ways to break those traumas back. You will see that there is nothing going to hold you back from finding your balance.
6. Detoxify
Research shows that toxins get stored in the fat cells of the body. To get rid of this type of fat you need to clean your body from these toxins. Otherwise you are going to store these toxins for a long time and can cause long term damage. Detoxify yourself in any way possible. You can start by adding drinks that have a lot of alkaline. Try my suggestion of lemon and hot water. Or try apple cider vinegar, green juices and other superfoods.
By focusing both on your mind as well as your body you are more likely to find your balance in lifestyle. Reducing stress and other emotional past is critical. Stress that is troubling you is the only way to stay focused. Try staying more relaxed, creating a more balanced life with your weight that you will get off.
