Smoothies is one of my favorite drinks. It combines the fact of doing something fast but still super healthy. The combo can include anything from fat, fiber and proteins needed for a healthy meal.
Here is a recipe with goji berries, one of my favorite super foods. Rich in anti oxidants and proteins and much much more. They are a complete source for proteins as they have all the amino acids needed for your body.
To make this a perfect smoothie you add plenty of fibers and some healthy fat. Coconut milk holds medium chain saturated fat that are metabolized and converted to energy.
Its simple to make and well balanced for that busy life we sometimes live. The goji berries also hold a perfect hormone balancing ingredient. These will produce growth hormones vital for a healthy growing child.
This makes the smoothie a perfect snack or meal for the whole family.
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 can original coconut milk (try Native Forest if you can)
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 ripe banana
1 handful of goji berries
How to mix it:
Wash the strawberries and remove all the green stuff. Start by adding the strawberries and the banana. Then adding the goji berries and the coconut milk. Then blend.
Serve it stirred and not shaken.
Double up if the family members are 4! You can then start to play around with the ingredients depending on what flavor you like the most…
